About Black Pepper
Pathanamthitta sits in the hill country that made Kerala pepper famous, and that is where our peppercorns come from. Elsar black pepper is sourced from those hill plantations and ground to a fine, aromatic powder.
Pepper loses its volatile oils quickly once ground, which is why ours is milled in small batches and sealed straight away — the sharp, citrus-edged heat you want in a pepper fry or a chicken roast fades fast in a stale packet.
Use it generously in Kerala pepper chicken, beef fry and rasam, or simply wherever a dish needs warmth rather than chilli heat. Milled at our ISO-certified facility in Humpamon and packed without preservatives or artificial colours.
