About Curry powders
A good masala blend is the difference between a curry that takes an hour and one that takes twenty minutes. Elsar curry powders are blended to traditional Kerala proportions, so each one is matched to the dish it is meant for rather than sold as a single all-purpose mix.
Chicken Masala brings depth to curries, roasts and marinades. Fish Masala is built around Kashmiri chilli, turmeric, fenugreek and asafoetida for fish curry and fried fish. Meat Masala carries the heavier, warmer spicing that beef and mutton need. Sambar Powder is the South Indian staple for sambar and vegetable preparations, and Pickle Mix gives you a ready base for homemade pickles.
All are blended and sealed at our ISO-certified facility in Humpamon, Pathanamthitta District, with no preservatives and no artificial colours. The full spice list for each blend is printed on its pack and shown on the product page.
