About Turmeric Powder
Turmeric is the base note of almost every Kerala curry, which is exactly why it is worth buying well. Elsar turmeric powder is ground from hand-selected turmeric roots grown in Kerala, with nothing blended in to bulk it out or brighten it artificially.
Pure turmeric has a warm, earthy aroma and a colour that is golden rather than neon — adulterated turmeric is often unnaturally bright. Use it for everyday curries, fish preparations and rasam, and in the small pinch that goes into dal and buttermilk.
Milled and sealed at our ISO-certified facility in Humpamon, Pathanamthitta District, and made without preservatives or artificial colours. Heaven Valley Industries has been sourcing and milling Kerala spices for over thirty years.
